ALAIN BERTEAU
Since 2002, architect/designer Alain Berteau works for leading international brands. The Brussels-based agency develops innovative products, creative strategies, interior designs and buildings.
Alain is the Creative Director of ABV (acoustic solutions), RVB (faucets) and OBJEKTEN SYSTEMS (office furniture).
He teaches product design at CAD (College of Advertising and Design), and was a design professor at LA CAMBRE school of Arts from 2003 to 2013.
Awarded "Designer of the year" in 2006 at the Interieur Kortrijk Biennale, he won numerous international design awards such as IF or Red Dot, and some of his designs are part of the permanent collection of Museums..
He refurbished the belgian artist residencies of the Isola Comacina on the Como lake in Italy, and was the curator for the design events of this institution until 2014.
His work is recognized for its simple but decisive functional innovation, eco-friendly solutions and versatile convenience.
