ISOLA COMACINA

ISOLA COMACINA
Design at Isola Comacina 2011 -
A superb design adventure to equip and furnish the recently restored artists residences with the best of belgian design. The houses, located near Milan on Isola Comacina (Ossuccio, Lago di Como, Italy) are very important architectural landmarks built in 1939. Designed by master rationalist architect Pietro Lingeri, the houses are dedicated to promote belgian-italian cultural interchanges. The houses has been restored in 2010 under the direction of Dottore Andrea Canziani for the Fondazione Comacina. And as a decisive contribution to the rebirth of this institution, the first Fuorisalone 2011 edition of the DESIGN at ISOLA COMACINA event will offer the opportunity to rediscover the houses and experience exciting new products unveiled alongside design classics. Initiated and supported by General Consul of Belgium in Milan FRANCOIS CORNET d’ELZIUS, the project is curated and developped by brussels-based architect designer Alain Berteau.

The project was carried out with the help of a smart and generous sponsorship from some of the very best brands who gave and even developped unique products for the houses :
